公共演讲课程简介

Public Speaking Course Introduction

本课程旨在帮助学生成为更加自信自如的公共演说者。通过赏析不同类型的典范式演讲,精心准备并发表自己的演讲,同学们将逐渐能够以更有效的方式,组织、表达、分享自己的想法。

This course aims to help students become more competent public speakers. Through watching, analyzing great speeches of different types, and more importantly preparing and giving a speech on their own, students will gradually be able to formulate, express, and share their ideas in a more effective manner.

课程采用“在实践中学习”的方式。学生有机会通过完成演说任务和项目来提升加强公共演讲的各项具体化技能,包括:直入主题,打磨措辞,善用声音等等。

The course also adopts a“learn by doing”approach, in which students will get a chance to enhance some of the sub skills of public speaking by completing speaking tasks such as,“get to the point”,“work on your wording”and“make better use of your voice”,etc.

公众演讲或许听起来让人望而却步,但从好的一面看,它是一项可以训练和打磨的技能。实际上,同学们越积极练习,越敢于向前一步,越有可能成为在观众前更加自信的演讲者。学生们无论是在学术上还是职业发展方面,都将长久受益。

Public speaking may sound scary, but the good news is it is a skill that can be honed and fine-tuned. As a matter of fact, the more proactive the students are, the more likely they will become confident and competent speakers in front of an audience,which would benefit them in a long run both academically and professionally.
